Figured I would start a Clyde Guilty Pleasure thread. I hope there hasn't been one started yet....
For me: Beer. I don't mean budweiser or miller or that low end corn-injected swill. I mean my homebrew, good craft beer, or at least quality beer. Currently on Guinness #2 for tonight (and this is it anyway). Thankfully, Guinness has less calories in the 14.9oz can than any of my homebrew does in 12oz bottles, and I should easily still be at a calorie deficit today!
Chocolate is a close second...that stuff is pure evil!
And, NO I will NOT cut beer out of my diet. I will reduce intake, yes, but never, EVER, will I not have beer. I would rather ride more to make up for it.
Every so often I get a yen for;
And, NO I will NOT cut beer out of my diet. I will reduce intake, yes, but never, EVER, will I not have beer...
You don't need to. I once had a book called The I Like My Beer Diet. It laid out detailed weight-loss menus, all designed to allow a couple of beers a day. I don't recall all the details, but the basic idea is that -- as treats go -- beer isn't bad at all. I lost 70 pounds a while back, using a simple combination of exercise and sensible eating, and I did not deny myself a beer when I craved one.
You're right about chocolate. Right now I have to control an insane craving for dark-chocolate coated raisins.

Every once in a while, I get a craving for fried chicken - not the fast food kind, but good, old fashioned, fried in lard in a cast iron skillet, fried chicken. Thankfully, my favorite fried chicken restaurant is a 3 hour motorcycle ride away...

Beer is a given for most guys and i'm no different. Problem is I tend to have more than a few! My other vice is fast food. I love me some Taco Bell!

Taco bell is good stuff! I am a sucker for ice cream covered with peanut butter and chocolate sauce as well.
Stone Ruination IPA
Guinness
Dogfish Head 90 Minute
Bacon Egg & Cheese on a Bagel
Those are my guilty pleasures, I need to control them better!

..... I am a sucker for ice cream covered with peanut butter....
I'm so glad that I am not the only one who loves that combo. I forgo the chocolate sauce by using Moose Tracks ice cream that already has the chocolate swirled in it.:D
Peanut butter! Especially Reese's peanut butter cups.

Pizza. A large deep dish pizza with extra cheese and extra pepperoni washed down by numerous Mountain Dew's. That's my ideal guilty pleasure.
Unfortunately, I had too many of those meals and that's what made me a clyde. However, I have found that I can still enjoy that, just in much smaller portions. Makes a big difference on the scale.

Wine.
Plain and simple the wife and I both love cooking, eating and good wine. I have built a collection over the years, and in no way am giving up a nice bottle or two on the weekends. It may very well impede my weight loss, but a man has to have one vice.

Double Stuf Oreo, sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles (though I may be over those for a while...), french fries, chocolate chip cookies, sweet tea, ice cream, chips. Papa Johns pizza, Parmesan garlic sticks and cinnamon sticks....dam...now I want pizza. :(
I'm trying to stop with the carb heavy/centric meals.

Pizza.... mmmmm.
Beer... mmmmm. Particularly Stone IPA or Arrogant Bastard. or any of their beers, they're fantastic
Wine
pasta, bacon, peanuts, carne asada burritos, chips & salsa, doritos, mmm
I'm attacking my clydeness this year by not dieting and not denying myself anything, just adding it all up. If there's room I get to enjoy it, but maybe just one of it. So far so good.

Arrogant Bastard is my fav brew. Only available in 22oz bottles here, making it twice as bad... I gotta try to find normal 12oz bottles and buy a case. I gotta order a dozen hot wings some night when I get some AB... I think they will go very well together.
I am not much of an IPA person, but there is a local micro-brewery that makes an IPA I could drink all day. only 60 ibu so its session friendly. I drank a growler of it one night.... mmm
I do not deprive myself but just eat smaller amounts.
+1.
You can't have a guilty pleasure if you don't have guilt.
1) Stuffed Jalapenos. Preferably in large quantity.
2) Pizza
3) Fresh baked bread with butter and/or cheese
And Neil_B and Chefisaac, I agree, up to a point. I find I'm more satisfied with quality food in modest amounts.
Just some foods seem to be triggers for me.

Exactly. A beer or two satisfies me, I don't need to drink 6. Granted, there are those days, but they are few and far between. Chocolate for me is not an every day thing, but I love the stuff, which is why I avoid most days. Well unless you count the protein shake I just had, its chocolate flavored...
Pork Rinds.
Every now and then I have to "let out my inner red neck" and eat some fat fried in fat covered in salt. It's not often (say, once a year), but when the urge hits me it's like a force of nature.

1. Wings - hot, with bleu cheese dressing dripping off
2. Fajitas - wouldn't be so bad if I could keep the extra guac and sour cream off!
3. Jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, and grilled.....hmm, it's a vegetable isn't it, probably good for me!
Australian Tim Tams. They have to come from Australia or they don't taste good. What you do is put the whole packet in the freezer over night. Then pour a wide shallow glass of milk. Next you nibble a little bit of chocolate from oposite ends of the Tim Tam. Then you suck the milk up through the Tim Tam. When the milk level is too low you then shove the cold, but no longer frozen Tim Tam in your mouth.
If you want to you can substitute the milk for rum, or brandy, or port. What ever takes your pleasure.

By the way, if you don't know. These are Tim Tams. Chococlate coverd biscuts. I dare you to eat just one. It can not be done.
