Not sure if this is even considered vintage. It's the style of bike I have been looking for but may be a bit to big for me. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Raleigh-Grand-Prix-Double-Butted-Chrome-Moly-Roadbike-LOCAL-PICKUP-ONLY-/400279306758?pt=Road_Bikes&hash=item5d32818206

A little expensive, in my opinion. Not obscenely so, but if it were a CL sale I wouldn't hesitate to offer less than $200... maybe $150-170. Not sure what the local market is. I believe that's a 1984 model, so yeah, this is the right forum. If you're around 5'-5", this bike should fit.

If I wanted it, it fit me, and I knew it was recently gone over (bb/hub/headset repack , true wheels, decent cables/housing) I'd attempt to grab it. Not a price that you could quickly re-sell for a profit but a good price for a rider.
That should be a pretty hot market area, so provided it fits well and the mechanical condition is as good as the cosmetics, it's a fair price. However, the stem is probably well above its insertion mark and needs to be lowered to be safe.
