If Colnagos float your boat, and they do mine, that price may work.

May be a bit high, but when the weather warms up a bit, people buy nice framesets and this is one of them.

I've already had an offer on my 1993 Elegant and I don't recall offering it yet.

It won't insult him at that price.

FWIW I sold a 1999 Master Extra Light frameset last fall for a lot more than his asking $$$ on the Tecnos.

i thought about that, but it's not like ebay is a secret place. when i sell stuff there, often my stuff gets 50 watchers within a few minutes. people are out there looking. last thing i want to do is rush to buy it and pay way too much.

Personally, I think all Colnago are overpriced but the market says otherwise. What tends to happen is there's a handful of guys out there who fell in love with a particular Colango model and paint scheme when they were teenagers but couldn't afford it. A decade later they've finally got the bucks and are now seeking out that dream frame. It drives the prices up. This one's a popular size and in mint condition. Somebody will buy it at that price. The question is when and whether the seller's willing to wait or will take slightly less for a quick sale. If it's your dream frame, you'll forever regret it, if it gets snatched from under you.

Dream...maybe. It's a quality handbuilt italian road frame with what i understand is high quality tubing with 130mm rear spacing. And the paint looks good. it fits the bill. :)

I never sell on ebay.

I see no reason to start.

In fact, I rarely advertise any bike on line period.

Same thing for my main hobbies, sailboats and BMWs.

I sold my last BMW 2002 through a local club connection to a fellow in Iowa through word of mouth.

I may have to resort to outside sales for a few items I have available though, as I need to raise some cash quickly to meet an opportunity.

Back to bikes though.

Locally, I have friends that race for, work at, and own local racing shops.

My oldest son has been involved in junior racing and have helped here and there.

I also am a member of a large local bicycle riding club, and have made a friend or two over the years.

Well, the one in Atlanta was likely underpriced, as it has sold.

Maybe the op picked it up.

The EL Tecnos is nice, but does not come with an original Colnago fork.

Sure, it would make a great rider, but the resale is going to be $500 when you come to sell it.

I've never sold a Colnago w/o a little taste for me as well.
