For some time now my mom's health has been failing (albeit slowly) and she just had a pacemaker installed which has improved things greatly... her memory has fits and starts and she had good days when she remembers everything and has days when she struggles. A lot of this stemmed from a heart that has been working hard for almost 84 years.

Picked up a new scanner that is smart enough to handle multiple snapshots and treat them as single images and am digitizing what are hundreds and hundreds of photos.

I hope these pictures (and many many more) will bring a smile to her face and makes it easier for her to see the details...

I was born in a house with running water... this is my sister and brother in 1962 before there was indoor plumbing.

When I was 3... with my favourite sister (the little girl in the tub).

It also makes me remember how poor we were and how hard my mom worked to take care of us without any support... think that even the price of film and developing must have been something she had to budget pretty tightly for as well.

That's a cool idea.

When my uncle was in a facility after his stroke, I made up a large collage of family images for him to see, by printing them up so each image filled a page and taping them together and hanging them on the wall.

Great idea 65er. That pic brings memories here too... I have a picture of myself in a very similar tub. Mine dates to the mid 70's, and the tub was round instead of squared. But I was standing up so I can't post it.

I think we were just cooling off here... me and my little brother... guessing this was 1967.
