Dude, we can tell who rides here and who doesn't. Attitude and how people talk is how it can show how you ride. I've no doubt that raiyn rides quite a bit.

Pretty funny how Raiyn already knew what TRD was talkin' about before he typed it. Don't think I've ever gotten air off one of those. I'll have to try harder.
yea, those guys are great entertainment :D . Any chance both profiles are created by same person?
Chill Ryin, I’m not getting defensive………It'll be a shame to make you hate me

Nah, talk is cheap. On the internet we are all heroes. I have had the pleasure to ski with a large group of skiers that got together (in Snowbird, Utah) via the internet. What an eye opener. Not everyone was as fantastic a skier as they seemed to be on the internet. :)

There is definately a difference between knowledge and skill. I ride a lot and some technical stuff...but I am not a great rider. I don't usually trust how a person rides till I see them
It also depends on where you come from. Most riders come here, may be awesome at home but get creamed. Dhillers from cali come here and find whislter easy but still find the shore difficult. Shore riders tend to be the most technical riders around but sometimes not the fastest ( dh race speed) so depending on the course may not seem that good. Pretty funny actually :)

home turf advantage eh?
around here I rule the local Jamba Juice, yup, me and a couple of my riding buddies. So if you want to have a smoothie drinking contest bring it on!:D

Nope not home turf at all actually. Different skill levels. You could bring a cali rider up here and he is fine. Get a rider from Texas (this happened to me) and 'usually' they will not be up to par. They thought they were but when decending a few thousand feet...it takes its toll and really seperate riders.

PWRDbyTRD
12-21-04, 02:17 PM
yeah...you know the ramp that goes from the road to the sidewalk and b/c of it there are two little "banks" on each side of the ramp...If I see one while I'm out cycling tonight I'll take a pic

When they make those and don't think about thermal expansion, the side points higher up in the air, so if you're riding on the sidewalk, you can go flying pretty far :P

They're really good on the higher curbs.

There are several members who could tell you that we are two different people in two non adjacent states with completely seperate ISP's.

I only ride off-road, but I have used those "Handi Ramps" to get a nice lift off with inline skates. They work as advertised by Raiyn and PWRD.

Since it's at least a 45 min drive to any semi decent trails. I tend to make use of what I have locally. I tend to fool around on my commuter bike in town

neither did I. At the strip mall they have some pretty huge things of those because the curbs are really high for some reason.

Yeah I like those things. I can think of a 'line' of them which i go over on my way to work- I can get some decent air on them!

Only real big one to always watch for is chain gate.
Night urban riding nightmare.
I recently oversized my front tire and kinda forgot riding home drunk >pulled a little wheelie\ curb hop and didn't expect the front to pop so much ( forgot I undersized the rear tire later)...
Scared the crap outta me.
PWRDbyTRD do you use platforms or clipped? I use platforms 'cause I offroad and have many times tossed>been tossed so I protect my ankles by not being attached.
I thought I read you ride clipped, I was thinking how if you are heavy = fall heavily, that platforms would be 'safer'.
I like road bikes to be attached to me -mtb, I like the ability to get off -however.
Perhaps I'm a bit phobic, but I have had a bad ankle mash from being clipped and having the bike go sideways.
