Forgive the newbie question, but do I know what vintage this bike is based on the number stamped on the bottom of the frame? Are these like an automobiles vin and can be de-coded? Thanks in advance...
This is a 26" six-speed stamped with K99K43937...
Welcome to the forums! Not a lot of info, but some here: http://oldroads.com/hf_sn.asp

Do you have any pictures of it? Unless its a rare Huffy branded Serotta, chances are that it really isn't worth much being a dept store bike. Even the old ones aren't worth. I wonder about some oddballs like the Huffy Wheel though.

Thanks for quick reply, I'm having trouble uploading photograph. Any help would be appreciated. jpg's are 715kb, is that the problem?
I'm going to get these running for a friend. She has a matching his/her set. New tires, chains, seats, etc. for starters I know they're made in china models, but she's sentimentally attached to them so I'll do it knowing that better bikes are out there for same or less $$.

The bike you posted was made in China in 2010.

Honestly, I hate to be the bearer of bummer news, but that bike is basically a Walmart bike. Looks fairly modern, i would imagine in the last 10 years at most. Has 1 piece crank.
