local CL had a Deli Bike up for sale or for trade for a women's bike. I had a great looking sort of girly-cute mid-level trek hybrid around, so I offered it. I rode it out to a pub out their way, we each tested out the bikes, but... no go.
I think I made the mistake of leaving it in too high a gear before she tried it, or not having the fit just right before letting her try it. Or maybe not, who knows.
The Pashley was cool-- there are toe strike issues with the front stand, and the raleigh style zero reach stem was too tight for my 6'4" frame, but a new stem and getting the seat up would have made it a decent fit. The Brooks saddle felt great.
The ride on the Pashley was indeed kind of funky (there were some rust issues that needed attention on the stand, handlebars, and the SA shifter...), and I'm sure she would have enjoyed riding the Trek around. I sure don't see a lot of cargo bike types around here, so there aren't so many folks out there who could use a Deli Bike regularly. Oh well! :p
