Foo - Seaview vs Seaquest

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Which super duper submarine do you like better?
The Seaview from 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea' or the one featured in the show 'Seaquest DSV'.

I like the self made one I launched in the county pool back in '75 the best. I was a lifeguard and it closed the pool for a week. I got paid for helping clean it up. Plus no lifeguarding! That's win/win!

You're thinking of that other one.

Well, I've never seen Seaquest, so I have to go with the the Seaview, but really, the Nautilus blows them both out of the water.

Seaview all the way! They had the flying sub and all those primary colors! And the theme music, too.

Watching the first season on Hulu now. Black and white and the flying sub hasn't been introduced yet.

You may also like Lost in Space, Time Tunnel and Land of the Giants.
Watching the pilot to Time Tunnel now. Pretty sure the effects guy was on acid when he developed the time travelling sequence.

Having grown up in the 60s, I must go with the Seaview. no1mad, I suspect you'll like the first season of VTTBOTS best. The show covered some serious topics back then. Later seasons are in color, but they "went goofy" in many episodes. Ditto for the another of Irwin Allen's shows, "Lost in Space".
First, black and white season is the best. Fun Fact: "Doctor Smith", played so well by
veteran actor Jonathan Harris, was supposed to be killed off after a few episodes. But, the character proved so popular with viewers, that they kept him.
Oh yes, "Voyage" did have the best theme music. Gotta love that Executive officer, Chip Morton. No matter how many times he got whacked on the head and went unconscious, he always
recovered.
I've also noticed a difference in the run times between the older shows and the current ones. There's an average of 5 minutes +/-1 dedicated to commercials in the newer programs.
I think I'll be checking out S1E3 of Time Tunnel tonight.

Once you watch 'The Great Vegetable Rebellion' on Lost in Space, your life will never be the same afterwards.

Seaview for sure. The "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" movie had Barbara Eden as the romantic interest. She had the real bottom of the sea for sure. Tight uniform and all.

Caught an episope of "Lost in Space" three days ago. Unbelievably bad, completely enjoyable.
