Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 1970's era AMF Roadmaster cruiser
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I've taken up a new hobby this year to fix bikes and sell them. I don't usually like to pay very much for vintage bikes but this offer seems like it might be worth it:
If this bike is in decent quality, am I correct in thinking it's worth much more than the $40 being asked?

I doubt if it's technically worth $40, in terms of your potential profit.
But if you like the bike and feel like working on it, then two twenties is not a whole lot.
I'd consider it. Though I'm not familiar with that particular bike, AMF was not known for making products that make people drool. Even in good shape it's not likely to be worth much.
Not worth over $40 unless you are in a hot market, which I do not think Fayetteville, AR is.
