Hi, I'm Ozzy.I don't have a capable bike shop in my town and I need to tune my own gearset for the first time. It's a 2001 Trek 7000 LX breaks with XT gearset.I have found on the net a very detailed explanation and I will try it if necessary, but I was wondering if YOU pro users have your own shortcuts by any chance.

I also need cateye mitty 3 instruction booklet.I can't seem to make it work and I don't have the ins.booklet...

Thanks so much.Oz

Here's your instructions for your Cateye Mitty 3:

Most manufacturers keep this type of thing on line nowadays, so you can usually go to the sites and
poke around a little and find it. Good luck!

My advice is not to take any shortcuts. Start at the very beginning and don't skip any steps. It's usually faster and it's always less frustrating.

Until you are experienced with the various drivetrain adjustments, plese, do not take shortcuts. Follow the process from first to last step. You will learn more and most steps will be to merely confirm that a particular adjustment is correct.

Stepping off my soapbox,

Make mine coffee. I'm one of those people who has already consumed enough beer to last me the rest of my life. Last one was on April 29, 1988.
