I've found something very annoying on this site that doesn't happen on any other site. When I login to BF but don't actually do anything; new posts get marked as Read after a short time. For example, let's say I log in but then I have to leave my desk, when I come back I see the indicator showing New Posts Exist but when I go into the forum, I don't see any new posts even though I know there are because of the timestamp on the posts and the fact that I didn't click on any new posts.
It seems like there's some kind of built-in timer in BF that marks posts read after a pre-determined time frame.
Is there a way to stop this from happening?
