Hi,

I have a blue and grey LeMond Victoire that I purchased through my uncle (likely for a good deal at $400 CAD). As a result, I'm curious to find out the actual year of the bike and an estimated resale value (I'm not selling, just curious). The setup came with Shimano Ultegra components, a San Marco Era seat, Cane Creek bars, and Vittoria Action Pro Intrepid tires (700x20C; since replaced with blue Michelin Lithion.2 700x23C) on Bontrager Racelite rims. From my relatively inexperienced point of view, the frame seems to be superficially in excellent shape and rides perfectly.

Please have a look at the attached pictures and feel free to provide any insight or ask any questions that you might have. Thanks!

It's a 2002 model.

Thank you for the response @billydonn!

Can you or anyone else estimate a reasonable market value? Thanks again!

You got a very good deal at $400... I hardly ever see Ti bikes for sale but when I do the prices are outrageous.

$1000? More? Bikepedia didn't have an MSRP but I'd guess it was a lot.

Can't tell you what it's worth, but I can guarantee you got a smoking deal getting that bike for $400, and I'm a just a tiny bit jealous. I see higher-end Lemond steel framesets alone of a similar vintage regularly advertised for more, and that bike is a titanium frame. Just the STI brifters on that bike would sell for $150-200 on eBay (I know this because I was recently in the market for some.)

Estimate between $1500 to $2000. I sold my Lemond Victoire for $1400 and regret it.

Thanks for all of your responses, guys! I assumed that I'd gotten a good deal, but, thanks to you all, I now have a better idea of just how nice I should be to my uncle in the future ;)
