I will be riding a lot more on back roads, and gravel bike trails this season. Any recommendations for a good tire for this application? I have Kenda Klaws right now. I'd like to get something smoother and more efficient for the road sections, yet still able to take light offroading.

file tread works great on gravel, like the schwalbe sammy slick or furious fred. depending on exactly what the gravel is, tires like that might be better than tiny knobs like the kenda SB8, maxxis ikon, geax aka, etc.

I recently got Avenir Swiss Army 26 x 1.95 tires from Dick's Sporting Goods and can't say enough good things about them. Incredibly smooth on the road and grip well on the trails. $17 each. I love them.
