I need help identifying it too - With the fork crown and CP's , I'm thinking U010, circa 1981 (http://mysite.verizon.net/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=http://mysite.verizon.net/vzerndgo/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/Peugeot_1981_US_Catalog_UO10_Retropeugeot.jpg&target=tlx_pic1uo7&title=UO10). - But then the crank is totally wrong. What does the tubing label say? That would help.

Not necessarily wrong as the UK offered up this one:

That puts it in the U010 ballpark. Good looking bike, BTW.
Just lube and cable her up and away you go! :)

Turn the saddle clamp around, too.
Is that a headlight mounting lug on the right leg of the fork? Usually foung on older Euro models, I think.
It's a little above entry level because some of the features on the frame, but the Carbolite tubing does keep it below mid level in the Peugeot model lineup of that time....but still, the Carbolite tubed frame whould ride really nicely as typical for frames made of this steel.
