Why did you stay inside?
100 - My bike was stolen
99 - Frostbite scares me
98 - I couldn't find tights that matched my bike
97 - Winter? Why would I leave Florida to ride in Minnesota?
96 - I ride only for the health benefits. My trainer is fine for that, so I don't need to go outside.
I'm sure there are more - why do people not ride in the winter?

93 - I'm building up my base (fat layer) over the winter in order to do those really extended trips next summer without having to bring so much food

Cool. Err... cold. I put on platforms because clipless doesn't seem like a good idea out here.
I was kind of out of it when I posted this, and didn't quite phrase it right. This should include excuses heard from other riders too..

I keep warmer on my bike then walking or riding the bus. though when I get ready to go out it is hard to convince myself of that (G)

91 - my SUV 4WD gets seriously jealous of my 2 wheelers

89 - my face mask hides my baby face complexion
88 - couldn't find a convenient spot on the bike for the frost plug
87 - if we were meant to ride below freezing we would have hairier toes
86 - my shaved leg hair stubble causes runs in my silk longjohns :eek:

85 - I can't ride if I can't work on my biker tan at the same time
84. My lack of hair on my legs means frostbite the minuteI go outside.
83. If my clipless pedals freeze to my cleats I will not be able to get off.

Among other reasons, I started riding the mile or so from the parking lot to campus/work instead of waiting for the shuttle or walking for this same reason. People think its stupid but I walk into class warm while they are frozen from standing in the cold waiting for a bus.

65 - Dept. of Homeland Security confiscated bike, classified it as WMD, and detonated it after unfortunate misunderstanding involving old faded "My Bike Is Da Bomb" sticker on top tube in which "Da" was rubbed off.
64 - My seat fell off, tried to sit down, proctologist says I won't be able to ride for a month.
63 - Chugged too much chain lube.
62 - Gold plating my groupset.
61. I gained 15 pounds from al the food I ate over christmas.
60. Theres over 5 in of snow on the ground , i am riding a road bike.
