what do you think of this rear wheel? 2011 Mavic Ksyrium SL Rear Wheel
or is there another better one for the money?

For what type of bike? That's considerably more expensive than the custom handbuilt DT Swiss wheels I just had built for my hybrid. Very, very pretty but racebike-oriented and unlikely to hold up under heavy use.

I have a Klein. I put 4700 miles a year on my bike.

I have set of 2007 Mavic Ksyrium ES wheels that I used for racing, they're bullet-proof. Even with hopping off of curbs and bad roads, ride the he!! of Ksyrium line with confidence!

I've got about 6000 miles on a pair and like them a great deal. It's stiff, relatively light and I've not problems with it at all. In terms of better wheels for the money, I think that depends on what better means to you.

Klein frames have a reputation for being a bit on the stiff side and Krysiums are not the most resilient of wheels. For me the combination of the two "Might" make for a harsh ride.

How do the Ksyriums compare to the Aksiums? I just bought an Aksium wheelset and I like them a lot. Ksyriums are a better, more expensive set right?

I have Aksiums and they are a good dependable wheel set. Bit heavier than Krysiums and they hubs look a bit more basic and I dare say the the Krysiums will ride better- but be a bit more "Fragile". I do have a lighter weight set of low spoke count wheels in Shimano Ultegras and they ride fine on the Lightweight aluminium framed bike I have but are too stiff-so are the Aksiums- on the Giant TCR-C.
