Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - Steel Marinoni from the 90s, with 600EX Ultegra groupset

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I could potentially get one, assuming the frame and parts are in good condition. It's $500, and that seems a bit steep to me.

I recently sold my Marinoni Squadra (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/Feature_Bicycles/Feature_Bicycles_Canada/Marinoni_Squadra_57/MARINONI_SQUADRA_1_Start.htm) for double the asking price of the bicycle presented by the OP. If the bike is in good condition, then $500 is a very good price,in my opinion. I should add that I have owned and sold several old Marinoni road bicycles, and they all sold for more than the asking price suggested by the OP...

600EX Ultegra? I would have to see that haha. 600EX became 600 Ultegra, then finally just Ultegra. If this is 600 Ultegra that would be consistent with early 90s.
Randy, I believe your selling prices but your bikes are in amazingly pristine ready-to-ride shape and well marketed. I would have to see pictures before dropping $500 on a bike based on the description "Steel Marinoni from the 90s."

I agree with the "well marketed" comment but my bikes are hardly pristine, in my opinion. That said, like you, I would not drop a dime without a very careful on-line investigation (http://www.mytenspeeds.com/My_TenSpeeds_1/FREE_SITE_1/FREE_SITE_19_Buying_Bikes_Ebay.htm) of what I wanted to buy, and that includes good pictures.
