Anybody know of any stores that would take my old bike as a trade in? I have two years old Fuji hybrid bike that I would like to upgrade but I do not really want to deal with selling the bike. I understand that private sale would most likely bring more money than trade but I rather have the new bike the same day, the old one is gone.

Craigs List is the best route and maybe the only one. Bike Shops do not sell used bikes in general and it would take a long time unless there was a huge discount. I've sold many bikes in New York City using Craigs List and it's always been easy.
