Training & Nutrition - Any info on Supergo TR-1 Rollers

I want to buy some rollers real quick. I'm looking at 3 models:

From Nashbar, the Tacx T1050 Sporttrack Rollers $139.95
Folding and PVC drums

From Performance, the Performance Technique Alloy Rollers $119.99
Nice alloy drums but I don't think they fold

...

And the cheapest ones, from Supergo, Supergo TR-1 Rollers $109.98
But they have alloy drums and they fold

Man, talk about finally lucking out when using the search function. I also wanted to know about the Supergo TR-1 Rollers.

I have them. They're ok...but I just got on them again recently and realized they're WAY too light on the resistance. If you're getting into shape they're ok...but I'd suggest getting something with a resistance unit. Also, the metal legs are not too strong, one of mine is bent. I'm not even sure if it's safe to ride on anymore.

Forget about them. I ordered a set the other day and they sent me a notification that they were "no longer available." I'm now looking at the Performance alloy ones. Anyone have any feedback?

The best rollers are the ones you are going to ride.
E*Motion rollers aren't cheap but they aren't built cheap either.
The main advantage is that you really ride your bike. And it is easier than regular rollers.
With the resistance unit, that is included, you'll be able to get all the resistance you can stand. (1500+ watts).
Check out the video on the site and you'll see out of the saddle sprints, no problem.

I was watching the price of the TR-1 rollers keep dropping but I waited too long and they were discontinued. I bought the Performance Technique alloy rollers instead. I have been riding them for about 2 weeks now and I am pretty happy. They do fold and are pretty light. The only question I have about the quality is the fact that the hinges are made of plastic. If one breaks I don't know if replacements are available.

I got the Performance rollers about this time last year. Probably have about 2,000+ miles on them now. No problems that I can think of, still working great.
