Can anyone suggest some nice, long trails in Texas? I'm not looking for the typical city park trails, but rather some long exploratory ones. Maybe in the 100 mile range, give or take. The longer the better and preferably ones with little to no car traffic.

Texas is a big 'ol state but 98% of its lands have been privately owned for over 130 years. Long runs are going to be few and far between. You gotta come over to the west side of the divide to get the really long miles, mostly.

I,m about a far from Texas as it gets but just bragging about home, we have the Mawson trail that's 900km "560 mile's" and the Heyson trail 1200km "745 mile's". The Heysen's a walking trail and takes 50-60 days to complete but is often ridden by MTB's. There's also enough city trails that would require camping around town to complete them all and more fire trail's for all day ride's that I can mention. I feel so lucky to live here.
