Hi all! I'm new to this forum and I'm just getting into mountain bikes. I'm ready to buy a bike and I was at Dick's Sporting Goods Yesterday looking at some. They have a great sale going on GT Aggressor bikes. To anyone in the know, what do you think of the 2.0 Aggressor? They are seling it for $270.00. Supposedly $200.00 off the regular price. Please give me some feedback. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums Coldsteel. I don't know if you know it or not but GT went bankrupt last year and was bought out by Pacific I believe. That's why there are a lot of sales on GT's right now. But they did make a good bike. Supposedly the high-end bikes aren't going to be made anymore.

My father has a GT and he has put about two thousand miles on his bike and loves it. Of course, he has a nifty I-Drive and not a hardtail, but the frame has held up and he has had no problems with it.

Instead of going to a big store with no support, you should look for a LBS (local bike store) that sells GTs. Their prices will have dropped as well and you will get the support and expertise that no large store can give you.
