Looking for a helmet light between $100-150, would prefer something self contained or with a really small battery pack. Obviously would like it to be as bright as possible as this will be for trail use.

minewt mini, 150 or 350. I have 2 of the 100's, have lasted for 2+ years.

For "traversing trail" at a leisurely pace, the Minewt will be okay. It's a bit dim for shredding.

Magicshine. I don't notice the weight at all, and it is BRIGHT!! and you can probably get it under $100.
Battery pack is velcroed around the back strap.

The Magicshine now has an XM-L option. Current and decent technology for sure.
