Being a Gulf Cooastal Texan, it is no big surprise that.... I have not seen snow. Now for those who did not watch the weather channel... IT SNOWED HERE IN HOUSTON ON CHRISTMAS EVE. (Here is where the rant starts) I still have not seen snow... NO I had to go to my future INLAWS for Christmas. They live near Austin (where it usually snows if it gets this far south). We watched the radar and the snow did not go NORTH of I-10. And to just to top it all off, there was at least 8inches of snow at my beach house. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.......I have had it up to here.... Maybe next year I will go to Canada and the snow will melt before I get there. And of course the first thing out of my coworkers mouths this morning was "Good Morning.. HOw was your white christmas"

Thank you. Just courious, your friends house there in Surfside?
Mike -
I know how you feel. I grew up in Maine and love the snow, especially on Christmas. Over the past few years, I've had more than my fair share of instances like you.
Example: in '96, I was stationed in WA. It doesn't snow much in WA and then usually only in Jan or Feb. Came home to ME for Christmas leave for a week or so. We got rain and ~45* on Christmas eve/day. WA, however, got 3 FEET that year! I almost couldn't get back.
This year... I just transferred from TX (DFW) to RI. Did we get snow? Yes, but not until yesterday.... But TX got snow this year for Christmas! Sheesh.
I know how you feel. It's so frustrating!
Maybe next year I will go to Canada and the snow will melt before I get there.
Take a vacation in Minneapolis in Feb if that's your plan... We'll be itching for sunshine and warmth by then.

One of the more amusing memories of my last 4 years as a student was the first snow freshmen year and all the Hawaiins/SoCals/Islanders running outside in their T-shirts like it was the Second Coming. :D
You'll get your snow eventually. In the meantime, try not to blame it on the fiance. It's bad for your relationship.
