Heartless cheepo on ebay bid 4 seconds before the end of an auction.
I understand the fact that you place only how much you can manage, but still...
He/she probably used one of those automatic ebay programs which right before the end of an auction.
Hey, at least you got a bid. :)

the cause of suffering is desire
Bid higher, or get a sniper program.
I have placed sucker bids many times. Sometimes you get lucky and win. But don't expect a really low bid to win on any particular day.
That's the tricky part of Ebay I think. Knowing yourself. Knowing how much you are going to miss losing out on something. I wanted to get a King of Mercia frame for my Sis that was up for bid just days ago. The timing, for me, sucked. I spent a lot on Xmas, I should have just sucked it up. It happens.

its within the rules and even standard practice- do you post your bids early with the intention of giving others a fair chance of outbidding you? if you do then I suggest you stick to buying stuff in the shops. If not then I just think you are peeved that someone has mastered the ebay system better than you have :)
Personally I think that ebay WOULD be fairer if there was a flexible end time to the auctions whereby a new bid would automatically prolong the auction for at least say 5 minutes. But this a fault with the ebay system and you cant blame the bidders.

I do this all the time. I understand how people can get fustrated, but it's all part of the game. There have been many times that I go to snipe a bid only to find that it wasn't a high enough max bid. Just do the same thing so some one else next auction and help make the world go round.
