Bicycle Mechanics - Traps for front forks

I am looking for a trap that swivels around the skewer for the fronts forks. I want one that when I lock the forks down on the trap I can swivel the bike without damaging the forks. Any ideas where to look?

Drop a wheel in the gap along a trolley rail and it traps the wheel and down you go.

I believe the OP is looking for an alternative to this type of fork mount. Obviously, when the fork dropouts are clamped in this type, you can't lift the rear of the bike. He wants one that clamps to the hub or the qr skewer so the bike can pivot around it. I've neve seen anything like that.

Thanks IthaDan, I have some brass washers now but was looking for something built in.

well if it is a truck bed mount., the bike bouncing up and down
is the last thing I'd want !
but if you are using a bike with Lawyers lips on the tip of the fork,
just loosen the QR, for the moment.

strap the back end of the bike down..

you may seek out the guy the town Was named for,
if he has a machine shop, or can fix tractors,

and can make you a way to mount a regular front hub,
bearings and all to the truck bed.

then you have the QR tight to hold the fork, but the bearings still let you lift
the back of the bike to pack in more stuff around the bike, or other purposes,
then strap the back down. again

Note: Those skewers in the Pickup bed mount pictured,
were beefed up to be the entire Axle diameter,
because using a regular QR and an normal axle had the QR breaking ..
So bear that in Mind.

Don't bother with bushings or anything that complicated. Mount the entire "trap" (front fork mount) like the one you posted, on a hinge. Use two blocks of 2x4 and a door hinge.

I would try some nylon washers, but as they are slippery, beware that they may allow the fork to release itself from the clamp.
