Anyone doing it this year? I signed up for the Century. Drove part of the course yesterday. Hope I didn't bite off more than I can chew. Gonna be a long day. My normal riding partner is going to be out of town and I'll be doing it on my own.

I'll probably do it. I did it last year by myself, and that was perfect. Set myself a limit on effort (I use power, HR works too) for the first 3 climbs in order to not blow up early, and the strategy paid off big time, I was able to ride strong the whole day. It's a very good route to ride alone since pacing on hills is so personal. Don't let the first time up City View get in your head, as long as you ride smart it's not that much worse the 2nd time.

Not that I set any land speed records....

Great roads, well supported, great scenery, lots of people, good after-party. I really liked it.

I will probably use a HR monitor, find the right gear and go. Maybe I'll see you there. I'll be the long lanky dude on the Bianchi...lol
