Classic & Vintage - hahahahaha, look what I found on my local CL

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

That could be used as a prop in a horror movie.

wow that's a daring ad, my friend

who would be bold (in the sense of suicidal) enough to ride FIXED with these drop outs anyway ?
they look like they'll get torn apart if you ever put too much pressure on the pedals...

not mentioning the oversize one-piece style bottom bracket...

$20 is about what I'd charge to haul it away.

It's hard to tell, but it looks like it might have an FFS system. Could be worth an offer of $10.

Yep. FFS and Positron shifting. Might be worth it if you were to use it for a parts bike. Otherwise, I'd offer him $5 and a cheese sandwich.

wow that's a daring ad, my friend

when i was about eight, i wanted to sell my bike, so i put it out on the front lawn with a sign that read, "5 dollars or more".

i guess i was a humanist at the time. :chuckle:

What's most shocking to me is that such a bottom-level bike with utterly craptastic dropouts and stays would also have internal cable routing.

those frames were pretty heavy-duty. The only problem I ever fixed on one was the sheet metal plate bridges would break off because they were only spot welded in 4 places. Never saw a broken or loose dropout, even though they are generally spot welded

The name says it all. But still it has potential. Medium size frame ~54cm If god can raise Jesus from the dead you can tear this down, grind it clean, paint it fresh, buy some sexy wheels and ride your very own resurrection.
