Got the Monark road worthy and attempted to ride it to work today. It didn't perform flawlessly but the problems were minor and nothing that couldn't be handled with a cup of coffee and an adjustable wrench on my break.
Observations-After 40+ years of hand brakes, I need to relearn coaster brakes. A handful of Bendix shifter does not slow you down.:twitchy: At all.
Heavy. Not very quick, but smoooooooth.
Old guys(Old is relative at my age)stopped me to ask about it.
Although the original Carlisle tires were shot, the tubes were perfect. The rear tube is a Uniroyal Thorn-Proof Tube that I swear weighed as much as the front wheel and tire. It was a bit of a chore to fit it into the new tire. So much so that I had to break out this.

My handy dandy Western Auto Motorcycle Tire Tool. The first time ever for a bike tire.
I think it needs a big Wald front basket and an old Stewart Warner Speedo.
