I was riding home from the gym on my local trail when my brother said he saw tail-lights behind us. I turned around and it was a sheriff speeding up behind us. I turn around to let my brother know, but he decided to haul ass, leaving me behind. He flashed his lights and told me not to ride the trail at night and ended up giving me a warning.
It's funny though, because cars aren't allowed on this trail, and the speed limit is 25mph yet he easily hit 40mph speeding up. Anyway, if you ride the Pinellas trail at night, don't! I had to ride the home on the road which is very unsafe at night. It seem like motorists hate cyclists who manage to go the same speed as them. It's also really scary when I stop at red lights and they slam the accelerator. I swear, I could feel the bumper touch my wheel
