Thanks. I went out and got a new Pearl Izumi road kit which can be used later for cross too.

I almost pulled the trigger on a pair, but my Bontrager spy told me that there should be some RXXXL mtb shoes coming this fall.

I have the RXXXL road shoes and love'em.

p.s. White makes you go faster.

I've heard that not falling off your bike helps.
