A few weeks ago, I decided to set in on a weight loss adventure. I'm about 5'10-11" and I weight 227 currently, and I'm trying to drop 50 lbs to 177. I've been thinking about getting back into cycling for a long time (hell, I joined this forum in '10 and never posted!).
Well, I jumped into it, finally. I bought a used Schwinn Frontier MTB (and I'm trying to find out approx how old it is) at a local LBS and I started riding it on Thursday. On Thursday, I did 1.8 miles and felt like I was going to die. Yesterday, I went on a 4.75mi walk with my roommate and it went better than expected, so I decided to go nuts today. Well, I rode 6.91 mi and I feel great! Well, my lungs burn and my legs are rubbery, but I'm feeling on top of the world. I've been watching what I eat and I'm already down 7.2 lbs, but if I keep up this pace on the bike, I'll be shedding a lot more real soon!
