I have a 1984 Alan Record, original 3t bar and stem, new Brookes leather bar tape with new Brookes saddle, full Campagnolo brake levers, hoods, rear mech, front mech, chainset and downtube shifters all original, Delta aero center pull brakes, campagnolo hubs on aero rims, campagnolo titanium bottom bracket, new brake cables and new gear cables, all of the above is a complete bike in near showroom condition, any ideas on value or what price i should sell at? pictures will be uploaded shortly
Without high quality pictures, no. You will need those pics to sell it anywhere. Also, where are you located, and how are you planning to sell (ebay, C/L or ?) If ebay, what record do you have as a seller, particularly on bikes that you have shipped?
All of these are factors, and about half (or more) of what the bike brings depends on your marketing skills. Used bike market is very inefficient.

If you are looking to get top dollar, sell the bicycle frame and fork set as a single item, and then the rest of the components, individually. Unfortunately, for you, new old stock ALAN frame and fork sets come up fairly often on Ebay and for about $300.00 or even a bit less. Put another way, the components on your bicycle is where most of the value lies.
To figure out how much each component is worth, do a Completed Auction Search for each of the components that you wish to list on Ebay. That should help you figure out how much people are willing to pay for certain items.
+1 Some beautiful parts you have there, that all sell quite well on ebay. The good news on parting out, is it is a lot easier to ship small boxes (all over the world), than complete bikes, and the parts alone will probably bring as much, if not more, than the complete bike.

Beautiful bike. I think you should sell this as a complete bike first. A complete C-Rec is is a good find and that could really run up the price.
Why does this have track tires?
I have a buddy selling an alan frameset (without the decals) for $100, so as others said the components would be the bulk of the value here. I had no trouble selling a complete c-record groupset with wheels for $800-1000. This is depending on the condition and completenesss & I see you don't have the pedals. These are local prices in my area so you could add more if you plan to sell it on ebay but that would include the hassle of shipping/fees/ebaybs etc. I would split it up if you want to get as much as possible. Good luck and nice bike :)

has track tubulars because it is on an old track aero rim and are the only tubs that will fit.
