I just got my road bike and I want to find an entry group to ride with as it would push me to ride harder. I am located in Royal Oak, but don't mind driving a little bit.

mcflurrey - here is a calendar of rides sponsored by the wolverine cycling club...

the rides that head out from beverly high school are known for being kind!
The Monday and Wednesday rides are more of the entry level rides. The rides out of Beverly School are a tad faster.
i'm in royal oak, too, but i do most of my rides solo. in fact, right now i only have a tri bike, which kinda puts me out of the group ride thing. i have meant to join some of the AC&F rides in the past since they're close. but i also meant to join some hansen's runs, and that hasn't happened either.

Thanks guys. I'm trying to find some nice routes to enjoy
The wednesday rides from the Royal Oak library always struck me as pretty easy, although it gets scattered on the way home. Should be a good bet for someone from RO. There are some slower rides on mondays too. I've enjoyed the wolverine or loose spoke rides from Royal Oak to downtown and back on the weekends (although beat-the-train is the best ride in the D).
Then there is always the velodrome in Rochester. Free bike and lesson the first time you come out! ;-)
wolverine and loosespokes lists in yahoo have a lot of ride info if you need more...
