Hello all,

NOTE: Actually, its the GARMIN FORERUNNER 201, I accidentally typed 101.

My newer computer does not have a serial port for data transfer from this device to my PC and I would either have to find a USB option, or try to sell this model and upgrade to a newer GPS device. Are USB connectors for this model even made, if anyone here knows? Also, what would be a modest upgrade, if I could sell this unit (in great condition) and use that money towards an upgrade garmin device?

thanks!

EDIT: what model garmin devices are able to upload data to garminconnect/Strava ? all of them?

I have a serial-to-USB adapter dongle that I used with my ForeRunner 201 before it died. Dunno if it still works with modern versions of Windows or OS X. If you're interested, I can check (specify which OS/version).

I talked with Garmin last fall and the 201 and they said it is not compatible with the new stuff. But my unit played out after that so it didn't matter.
