Looking for a good route from either location into downtown San Antonio. I'll be making the trip soon. Everyone says once I get to SA all routes turn hellish, but I kind of don't believe it, seems like there's got to be a somewhat safe (if not pleasant) option?

Look into the trails that the city has set up. Which way are coming from Wimberley? Also check some of the bike shops in SA.
