Hello all, price tips on this motobecane with interesting parts mix? Anyone know the model of Shimano hubs those are?

Will be for sale by a non-profit thrift store I volunteer for. I gave them a wild guess of $400 but they're all excited after seeing people ask $1K for similar rigs. Perhaps weird parts mix would hurt price? I dunno. Such a sweet bike, though. Thanks in advance for any input.

UH UM WOW that is beautiful!! What size is that? You should offer to put that on Ebay for them. I am not sure about 1K but i am sure you can get more than 100. if it was a 59 I might go as high as 103 or 105! Just kidding if that was my size I may go 250-300

That 'weird' mix of parts are about the most desirable agglomeration of parts I've seen on any bike in a while.
The Grand Jubile frame is a bonus. Even the early J Blackburn rack is collectable.

Normally I would say $400 was high for a mixte - but in this case you could be ~200 low.
Super Champion rims
Barcons
Jubile DR
DA gen 1 crank
Universal 61's
Campy(?) hubs

+1

I never thought a mixte could be worth a grand but this is probably the nicest one I've ever seen. 531 frame (?), amazing components, very good condition. I agree ebay would probably be a better place for this than a thrift store. Most thrift store shoppers (at least around here) aren't expecting to see bikes priced over $50. If nothing else at least make up a nice C/L ad for it.

I don't think $500 would be unreasonable for what may be one of the best mixtes out there.

Anyone know the model of Shimano hubs those are?

Front hub looks like 1st gen Dura Ace, but look on the dust cover and that will tell you one way or another. No photos of the rear hub.

Oh, yes, I'll definitely be creating an ad to place on Portland's Craigslist.

The Hubs have that old 70s Shimano logo on them. I'll have to check dust covers for markings on them They look like matched hubs to me, unfortunately my hub pics suck. I'll try to get better captures of that tomorrow. Pretty much the round bit before "shimano" here is stamped on the hubs, with "shimano" running underneath:

I've got the feeling it might fly out the door @ $400.

Perhaps we'll roll with auchencrow's estimate + $50 Portland tax ;) , see what kind of interest we get and adjust down if needed.

I haven't measured it yet bianchigirl, will check that tomorrow. Hopefully ride it on Saturday if the sun comes out!

As I was looking at it I thought it would be a goldmine parted out on eBay but it's such a sweet bike someone should really be riding it set up as-is. Well, I'd probably put different grips and saddle on personally, but...

Finally got off my butt and measured the bike. It's 20 7/8" BB to top of seattube, 21" HTT. We put it up for $499
