eill sram omniums with a 52 chainring fit on a 2011 schwin racer frame?

not helpful. what are the measurments for omiums from center of bb to chainring. also what's th measurment of from center to end of a 52 on omnium? can anyone supply these answers

well ive had the frame and have being using it as my first fixed gear setup, as i buildup components until i can find the frame that i want in particular, im just gathering components that i can transfer over later, so yes i will be but for a short period of time.

I can get a really good deal on omniums from a friend so if the crankset with that chainring will fit ill buy it, I may buy them and trade them for something else, who knows.

If you're getting them from a friend, try installing them. If they fit, buy them.

There's just the park tool for the BB for $19, and an 8mm allen wrench.

id have to pull my bb and install his plus cranks, not sure if either of us have time for that since we have conflicting work schedules.

How the hell would you do it if you actually bought the crankset? I honestly don't understand people who ride bikes but have no tools to maintain them.

I started riding bikes recently (<1year ago). I don't have a bottom bracket tool, because I haven't had to remove my bb. If I ever need to, I'll buy the tool, but until then it's money I don't need to spend. just sayin

sigh... because i havent bought tools to do any serious work on my bike yet, all ive replaced are the wheels, pedals, seat and a nitto drop bar which i did. i do plan on purchasing these tools in the future but considering i havent needed them yet and there is a lbs like 5 minute ride from here.

why are you critisizing me because i dont have them? if it makes you feel better when i owned my explorer and motorcyce, i did all the work myself from oil changes to brake jobs because i had an air compressor, tools, ramp and jack/stands. Should i ask if you work on your own vehicle like pulling cylinder heads or replacing cv joints/boots?

Measure from the center of the seat tube to the chainring on his bike. Then, on your bike, hold the 52t parallel to the centerline of the bike at the distance you measured on his bike. See if it'll hit the chain stay.

And i will have these tools soon, pay day isnt here yet and i wont be buying the crankset if i do until then, also that is good for you glad you can. But not everyone has that ability to do so or wants to have the ability, and that extends from cars to motorcycles to home repair ect.

if both bikes have the same bottom bracket shell width, same rear spacing and similar chain stay shape it should fit.
