I'll probably also post this on the utility forum.
I'm shopping for a double kickstand for my commuter. I'd like to try a Pletcher but they're too expensive for me. I'm looking at the Civia. Anybody used one of those?
There's also the massload ones. Several models, including one that folds to the non drive side like the Pletcher and the one that just gets narrower when you fold it up. How about those?
m-wave has a steel one that looks nice and is cheep but would that be way heavier than an aluminum one?
There's also the one from crowcycleco.com that has button adjustable legs but the legs are plastic and I'm worried they might break easily.
I have a Sunlight one on another bike and it's been fine. The chain slaps against it sometimes but it's great for when you have weight on the bike or a trailer.
I'm looking for one that is stable, cheep, light(relatively) and maybe doesn't get hit by the chain.
