Triathlon - Chaffing on the Neck

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

In the past 3 races I've done using an Xterra Wetsuit, I've had nasty chaffing around my neck. Recovery from chaffing takes me 2 weeks, and its a big pain in the butt that I can't fully move my neck around without cringing every time.
I've tried body glide, Duck tape, pam, each time respectively, all ending as failures. I'm starting to think it's the wetsuit, as my Xterra has a extremely high neck cut off.
Is there anything else I can do so I don't look like a complete newbie?
Lots of vaseline?
I'm not familiar with tri, but if the vaseline is waterproof and you slather it on, would that work?

Vaseline contains petrolium, that will eat your wetsuit. If bodyglide didn't help, you may need to get a wetsuit with a lower neckline.

I ended up doing that, getting the Orca Predator. Man, wetsuit technologies have gone a long ways in the past decade or so. My wetsuit is about 4 years old and was REALLY stiff, but in this new Orca I feel like I can do gymnastics in it.
