I don't know a thing about Derosa bikes. Anybody tell if it could be a good one by the colors?

Either a joke or you'll find out what 'some rust' means...

Falmouth is right on the coast and the salt air can take it's toll. I sent an email, curiosity got the best of me.

A DeRosa touring set-up for $300 ... darn, N.C. is only about a 10 hour drive. I could be there first thing in the morning if it's still available!

Custom made in Italy by the Master Himself. Small frame, I am 5'7" tall. This is a "touring" bike to ride and have fun with..it is not the bike for you to ride in Triathlons or other racing events. DeRosa was one of the original bike builders who made custom bikes for the Tour de France participants.
The 28 Speeds give you maximum flexibility.

What? The owner of a bike like that doesn't know how to measure his own frame?

That green one is the first DeRosa I've seen that would look good on a rack in a Walmart.

That was my thought when I saw the graphics. I hate that whole "made by the master" hyperbole in any case: Really? Did you watch him braze the frame?
