Hi Guys,

I just bought a 98 or 99 Peugeot Competition Cyclocross with all of the original components. Everything is functional, and there are a few superficial nicks to the paint, but it's in original condition. I found the model in a few catalogs and it seems to be a 98 or 99, but i can't find a single mention of this bike anywhere else on the internet.
It's a columbus Thron tube frame, with a full shimano RSX group and cantilever brakes.

I'm wondering what you guys think it might be worth, as it seems to be a fairly rare bike, and though I think I got a pretty good deal on it, I'm not 100% sure! It's a pretty nice ride, but I'm going to switch out an adjustable stem for the one that's on there now (a bit aggressive, and I've got odd proportions), but I'll keep the old one in case I ever decide to sell the bike again.

Thanks a lot!
Chris

What country are you in? AKAIK Peugeot stopped exporting bikes to the US around 1991, so if it's here someone brought over with them or shipped it here.

RSX was a low-end group, but cross bikes have value considering their relative rarity compared to road bikes. Not sure what it's worth without knowing where you're located.

I'm in Germany, so it wasn't some sort of weird import! From the states originally but moved here from NYC for work last year. That said, there still aren't too many late-90s Peugeots around anywhere at all.

+1 Cool bike, nice paint job, low end Shimano components (RSX was a predecessor to Sora, I like it better, but its Sora-esque), excellent condtion.
