Took the new bike out for a ride after work. Had some errands to run. My quads were a little sore yesterday, but are fine, today. Geared up, jumped on the bike and, wow! Does my ass hurt! Really? After that wee bit of riding? Well, it's been a while, Darlin'. Yeah, but...ooh. Let's make this a short ride, OK?

After the 3rd errand my heiny was feeling better, so off we went to the park. Man the gearing on my new bike is nice. I huffed and puffed up the hill because I'm fat and haven't been on my bike for a couple of years, but I made it with minimal wind-suck and comfy knees.

So today I was exhausted because I hadn't slept well last night, the day turned windy and a little cold making biking less appealing, my quads were tired, my butt hurt...and I rode my bike anyway. Yay team me! I think tomorrow is a weight training day, while I let my sit bones recover from the shock of being on a bike again.

haha, cycling a sport where talking to the bones in your back side is considered sane :)

I've always said that the only thing more painful than the first ride is the second.

Yeah, saddle tollerance takes some time and regular riding. Kudos though! for jumping back on and actually riding through it the second day, that's awesome.

And yes, proper gearing is definately a blessing in Western WA!

My sit bones have been hurting after 40+miles of riding in the last 2 days.
