Today a playful jaunt on a new bike turned into a mission to have as much fun as possible on two wheels (sometimes one!) while travelling on a multitude of terrains.

A simple meander on the road went off the paved path and into the woods:

Woods turned into smooth hardpack near the coast, and then back into the woods:

What have we here? Riding near the tracks is tricky on account of the trusses and loose rock.

Some neat things lurk where people don't frequent:

I grew tired of sliding around on the rocks and went over the side of a hill next to the tracks, another path!

Deeper sand littered with some cool sights:

While I was off the tracks, the sand got even deeper as I encountered rotted out storage containers and adolescent drinking spots. I began breaking overgrown limbs with my arms, and I wondered how many ticks I was about to pick up, so I turned back.

A sight for C&V eyes, unfortunately no room for that in my garage.

Versatility is awesome! I'm thinking of putting flared drop bars and bar end shifters on this bike, while putting the triple crank back together.
