Foo - Proof that opposites attract

On new years day we went and purchased a new car for my wife Christy, AKA CBhungry. We got her a civic four door HYBRID. Now this thing will go 600 miles on a tank of gas, about 48-56 MPG.

Me, I ordered a dump truck. A chevy 3500 dualie for my tree service business with a dumping bed.

Go figure! :D

Oh yes, this is actually less truck than most tree service companies use by far. My toyota will not do it so I am forced to get a bigger one.

I've incorporated "car-free" into my life fairly well now, but as soon as I get a good excuse, I'm gonna get a Toyota. Heehee :) When I'm not commuting by bike, my other form of transport is a GMC Sierra with a 4" lift, mud terrain tires and Flowmasters (all by my choosing). Whenever my hubby drives it, other guys will tell him, "Nice truck," in which he answers back, "Thanks, I'll let my wife know you like her truck." Funny thing is, I never get any guys saying the same thing to me. They probably assume it's my husband's truck :p

Dood... The Toyota Tacoma has a 3/4 ton payload capacity and it's a rather large truck. Dualies are nothing but a rim & lug set with some minor fender mods.:rolleyes:

yes, but two wheels per side increases the load capacity significantly.
The Tacoma isn't a full size truck.
A friend's daughter just bought a crew cab duallie for pulling a horse trailer.
Allison trans and duramax diesel...gets 22mpg on the highway!! that's as good as many large cars.

Yes, but this was the last year to write off new SUV purchases. Not having to pay taxes on 70k is pretty nice, especially when you have kids and a working wife.

that's being done. it's a long process that will take 9 more years. until then i shall mow lawns and blow most of the money on allergy meds... but in the end... $80,000 a year or so i will get! :)

it was far easier to find good dump trucks than good pics of the tsunami itself. i never could find that 400 ft high wave... sigh :(
