Here's my wife, Crazylady, headed out to run some errands (Pick up some ice and party supplies for my Mom's birthday dinner this afternoon). She rides a recumbent trike, a Sun EZ3, and uses a trailer for touring and errands. It's a nice comfortable setup. :D

Nice trailer! In the small town where I have been spending the spring the grocery store is 1.33 miles away. It dawned on me a couple of days ago that I could get groceries by bike. Just do a lot of trips and no Two litre bottles of Diet Coke!

Oh, yeah! I do my shopping by bike. I have two Ortlieb panniers, and a roomy backpack. Or if I know I need something heavy, like cat litter, I often use my little old lady cart. I could totally get two litres of Diet Coke/Pepsi (although I hardly drink that stuff anymore) in one of the Ortliebs!

That really is a nice rig, BTW.

Terrific bike and trailer!

My bike gets turned into a grocery getter about twice a week. Much nicer than carrying 25 lbs of groceries in my hands!

Or walk. I walk about that far to work each day and then walk home. Or get a cheap rack and pannier(s) so you don't have to make a lot of trips. I do most of my shopping on foot or on bike.

I'm about 5 each way, but don't mind going when time constraints are few . I usually use panniers , but also have a racktop bag that has small panniers come out the sides, and a waterproof liner for the top . Or I use the Cannondale trailer .
