Fifty Plus (50+) - Musician cyclists? Favourites - I'd love to hear

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm aware of Eric Clapton's collection of Cinellis. That the title of 'Disraeli Gears' was an enquiry about the shifters on his bike. That David Byrne is a committed urban cyclist. That Ginger Baker used two Bass drums as that was how he pedalled.
Please let me know of more. If anyone has evidence that Bob was a fixie hipster skidder.....

Well, there's The Steel Wheels (http://www.thesteelwheels.com/), an Americana band (who've actually toured on bicycle, toting all their equipment, including a stand-up bass), and The Ditty Bops (http://www.thedittybops.com/) were named one of Billboard Magazine’s Top Ten Green Bands for completing a 5,000 mile bicycling music tour across the USA

For cyclists it's hard to beat S (http://simplecycle-marc.blogspot.com/2011/08/steel-wheels-keep-on-rollin.html)teel Wheels. Here's a photo of the whole group arriving before a concert.

Well here's a video of Peter Gabriel singing one of my favorite songs while riding a bike:

And as an added bonus, here's video of my son on stage (in the striped shirt) singing with the Ditty Bops in Philly:

Actor and Broadway star Mandy Patinken has a great tenor voice.
Historic operatic bass Ezio Pinza (did the singing for Rossano Brazzi in the classic movie version, a famous rendition of "Some Enchanted Evening") was a devoted cyclist.
