Yep. It's a really cool jersey that I'd love to wear, but I just bought the wrong size. Send me a private message for details.

Sadly, everyone who's seen me wearing it knows exactly what it means. (Do I look that old? :()

50 centuries in a year - not even close.
50 miles before breakfast - nope.
50 slices of pie in a month - Oh yeah! I can do that.

:lol: Don't feel bad, as I reported on another thread, the first time I wore mine, my husband and I passed a young girl standing on the sidewalk and she took one look at us, waved her fingers, and said,"Awwww, how cute!" As in, "look at the little old people on their little bikes!" As it had never happened before, my first thought was,"@#&*% 50+ jersey!" Then I realized-- it wasn't the jersey.:mad:

Anybody have a picture of the Jersey for a relative newcomer around here? Sounds interesting!

Neat! The "Sweetness through difficulty" motto is a very nice touch!

I'm probably in on the next order whenever that happens.

I'm in on the next order, my wife turn 50 this year.

I've got a women's medium. Was a bit more snug than my wife likes so I got her a large the next time around. Never worn or washed, only tried on. PM if interested.

Also kudos to Curt for making the jerseys full zip... that's a big deal to me. I have some 50+ bibs in like-new condition, size 2XL that are just too big for me. PM if interested.

I feel like a superhero in my 50+ jersey.

Someone over at Strava asked about maybe getting a Plus 50 bike decal. I think it's a cool idea. We also have the best Strava symbol, courtesy of Curtis.

Wow. I'm always thrilled that people like the jersey. Tricia and I wore ours on the Primavera Century (blog report with photos (http://ccorlew.blogspot.com/2012/04/primavera-century-2012.html)) and got a lot of positive comments.

I'm at the end of the semester right now, going crazy with grading assignments and reports, and I have the Davis Double Century in a week and a half. My plate is really full. I have a short break before I take a photo class to Cuba and a small window before doing Cycle Washington with Adventure Cycling. But in there somewhere I'll try to do another order.

Last time I got the wrong jerseys (makers error) and it took forever to get them out. Eventually everyone got their order, though I'm a bit disappointed as part of the no-profit deal was that buyers had to post a photo as part of the purchase price. There are a lot more jerseys out there than photos I've seen.:notamused:

I got a "It's so nice you're still out exercising" comment from a young woman on a tri-bike during a century. So I dropped her. Hard.

I don't remember that. I'll work on getting a picture taken and uploaded of me in the bib and jersey. Maybe during the upcoming Tour de California. The Big Bear stage starts about a mile from the house.

How is the fit on the 50+ Jersey, race, other? I wear a medium in a Canari and a Louis Garneu. Image of how the LG jersey fits. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/iamender2/GiantDefy_3.jpg

The 50+ jerseys tend to fit snugly. Curtis told us that the sport fit was very closely tailored (read tight) and the regular Club cut was slightly roomier. I'd size up if I were you. My XL is snug on my large frame so next time it will be an XXL for me. I'm after a jersey, a jacket and shorts next order cycle.

If I can sell my existing (never worn, just tried on) 50+ jersey I'd like to try again. I bought a club cut XL, but it's probably 4 inches smaller around the waist / chest than I am (i.e., very tight). I then bought an XL Aerotech jersey but exchanged it for an XXL which is wearable, but a bit tighter than I'd prefer. I wear XL shirts in non-cycling wear, though. I'm curious - How does your 50+ jersey compare to others of the same size designation? Smaller, larger, about the same?

Thanks.

I find jerseys - in general - to be very irregular in sizes. However, with the 50+ I would suggest getting at least one size larger than you think you should.

I'm learning that as well. I'm also still halfway in the "establishing what 'cycling sizes' I wear vs. regular clothes" phase. I'm about to decide that to get cycling wear in general that fits like regular clothes, I need to buy at least two sizes larger, irregularities between brands notwithstanding. It's just that at the price of jerseys in general, it can be an expensive process. :)

Thanks.

Sorry I didn't answer your PM. I think I will hold out and opt for an XXL when it comes around. An XL fits me with no room to spare so I think your XL would be too snug for me!

I've noticed that too. I worked with Beanz to try and get a "fashion" thread going over in Clydesdales, but it failed to take off. I think there may be an undercurrent of puritanical modesty going around... or perhaps people just think, rightly or not, that they just aren't very attractive. :roflmao2:
