Classic and Vintage Bicycles: What's it Worth? Appraisals and Inquiries - 8 different bikes

I have a random assortment of old bikes. I dont know much about any of them except my daily commuter. I highly doubt any of them are worth anything but what the hell right? I would like to know if any are worth money as they sit or worth anything after a restoration? I like restoring bikes but not in it for the money. I just dont want to spend 200 on a bike worth 5 cents.

These bikes.. they look very familar. I see some I would fix up in there, but only a few. Most are low end, mass produced and imo junky. Did you acquire most of these at a certain bike expo? They really do look quite familar.

WOW, a huffy white heat. I had one of those, such a pile, but man did I love it.

Keep the Trek, Scott, and depending if it fits you and you'll ride it, the Motobecane. Sell the rest as is for $40 each on craigslist.

Some elbow grease and lemon pledge will make most any bike better come time to sell. So spend a day fluffing and buffing a bit and have a big sale.

Aren't Hiawathas something special? if I lived on the first floor that would mmake a ccool city bike but I am not lugging it upstairs.

The hiawatha does have some style! The teal colored one is a huffy seabreeze i rebuilt for my girlfriend. It never moves. But i enjoy rebuilding them just as mych as the finished project.

Its crazy how many people say they had a white heat for there first bike! The thing is heavy!

Funny, I watched a truck filled with almost identical bikes get bought a few weekends back, I was suspecting you were that guy. ;) Sorry to hurt your bikes feelings, happy wrenching.

did you acquire them as tenants moved out and abandoned them? not that there's anything wrong with that...

The Trek and Scott are worth the most. The Trek you could probably get $300 for if everything works ok. The Motobecane has some value but it is lower end and in rough shape. The rest, not a whole lot.

Don't know who was using using that Hiawatha name, but that looks like a '60s Murray. Similar to what Sears and JC Penney were selling at the time (also made by Murray).

Hiawatha was Gambles' brand name. Obviously Murray built, but I would guess 1970s.

The Hiawatha looks to be a mid 60's sears catalog bike. As for value the Trek does have some a couple of hundred if in good shape. The moto has some potential if its your size and want to fix it up as a rider. I also think becasue of the nice condition the Hiawatha also has some value to the right buyer maybe $125 or so. The rest I would just sell on CL and take whatever you can get.
