Hi Everyone,

I just join the forum to educate myself about biking. I am no new to biking but I am totally new to different kind of bikes. I started riding bikes since I was a kid and road it till I was in college (I grew up in India)

Last weekend I competed half marathon (NJ Long branch half marathon), now I am looking to go for Bike MS NYC 50 miles. I have a cheap $100 Wal-mart MT bike but I want to get a decent road or cyclocross. To be honest I don't even know the difference between two and that is why I am here.

I am hoping to gain some knowledge before I make my purchase. I am very athletic person. I love Bikes, motorcycle, running, hiking and what not.

I love outdoor activities.

what else? Oh yes I live in NJ. 3 miles from Colonial Park in Somerset. I love riding on Canal road. I did 4-5 times last year but looking to get into a regular biking on the canal rd.

:giver::cheers:

Hi 10 Wheels,

Thank you so much for the tip. I have one local shop near my house. I am planning to go check it out over the weekend.
