Hi I am new to the forum. I have always been a recreational cyclist. Ever since I can remember I have enjoyed long playful rides in the woods by my house since a very young age, and now as an adult I commute. I ride a short five miles to work and back every day about eight months of the year. I have attempted it in winter, but crashed and that discouraged me. My bike is an el-cheapo bike and I don't really see any reason to buy a more expensive one. I have owned expensive ones in the past (pegeot, flandria, norco) but now I just mainly ride on paved and dirt trails to work and home.

So I am a no frills kind of byciclist. I take my hat off to the people who commute day in, day out on their old clunkers and ride all the time. These are the true old school cyclists, the foundation of byciling. Just my opinion...;)

I work full time as an aircraft mechanic and part time (on weekends) as a correctional officer. So, I work all the time. Commuting and throwing a set of barbells around at home are the only ways for me to keep fit.

So, looking forward to enjoying reading and posting here.

Cheers:beer:
